God Appointments

In our society, set appointments are the norm.  We plan out our weeks. We set appointments for the doctor, dentist, vet, picture sessions and even with friends.  Sometimes, we get so busy that we don't have time for extra or random appointments.  What about the appointments that God sends our way?  Did that person come across our path randomly…or divinely?  Maybe God sends someone into your life that needs you to be “God's hands and feet”.

Pastor Mark has recently asked us to pray for him to proclaim the Gospel fearlessly and boldly.  Shouldn't we make that our prayer too?  Our family is pretty involved in softball and t-ball right now.  One of my purposes for being involved is to spread the seeds of the Gospel.  Sometimes, I get too focused on the sport and forget about sharing the Gospel.  I have been wearing my new Ada Family Center (church plant) hat, but is my life reflecting and are my words ready to share the Gospel?

Mikaya has become ‘best friends' with one of the girls on her team.  They asked each other out for ice cream last night.  We already had plans, but I got to thinking, ‘was that an appointment that God had set aside for me?'  I hope to reschedule that appointment and to make sure that I am ‘ready' to share.

“ ‘Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.' But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.' 1 Peter 3:14-16 (emphasis added)

Pray and then look for God Appointments.
