Church Picnic

Hi y’all!

 

I’m getting ready for the church picnic and I hope you are too!

 

I have an important announcement regarding that.  Due to the impending 80% chance of heavy thunderstorms forecast for Saturday evening, we have decided that for everyone’s safety and comfort, we will have the church picnic in the FLC gym instead of at Ada Park.  The schedule will remain the same.  We will be breaking acorn banks at 4pm and eating our western fare when that is completed.  We plan on having the cornhole tournament in the gym as well.  And this is still a picnic, so there won’t be a ton of tables set up.  We’ll have blankets on the floor for the kids and bring your folding chairs.  We still plan to have a ton of fun, just inside where it’s safe and dry.  And don’t forget to dress up in your Western attire!  There will be prizes for the best-dressed!  If you know somebody who doesn’t have e-mail, please let them know about the change in location.    

 

Also, the barrier for the East entrance to the parking lot is officially set, so please pay careful attention as you enter!

Pastor Appreciation Sunday

THIS Sunday, May 15th, is Pastor Appreciation Sunday!  Please remember we have an adjusted schedule:
9:00am – Sunday School
10:15am – Service
There will be a carry-in lunch directly following the service.  Meat, drinks, and dessert will be provided.  Just bring a side dish.  Also remember to bring your cards or words of encouragement for the pastors to put in the baskets located on the altars.  Please join us as we honor our pastors!

Resurrection Sunday

We are going to have an adjusted schedule on March 27th!
Sunrise Service begins at 7:30am.
A delicious hot breakfast will start at 9:00am.
Second Service begins at 10:00am.
There will be no Sunday School.
Please join us!

Do You Love To Create?

Woodworking? Crochet? Crafts? Sewing? Knitting? Beading?

Saturday, February 6 from 10am-12pm in the Fireside Room, we will be gathering with friends to share ideas and patterns of items to make in your own home for Operation Christmas Child or other ministries.  We’ll provide coffee and donuts.  What you might bring: lots of ideas, samples, patterns, pictures, extra yarn or other supplies from your cupboard to share (if you bring patterns to the church office, Sara or Jamie would be happy to make copies for you)
