Do you know who Warren Buffett is?

He owns the investment firm of Birkshire Hathaway.  He's one of the richest men in the world (almost $60 billion dollars) and most influential and savvy investors of our time.

But here's the cool part for me.

There were four major class 1 railroad companies in the US with publicly traded stock – until Warren Buffett got interested in the profit potential of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and bought 22% of its shares.  Then in 2009 he paid $34 billion for the rest of the railroad.  Imagine buying a business with 32,000 miles of track and 41,000 employees!  He didn't buy it to break it up and sell off the parts – he bought it because BNSF makes money!

Warren Buffet bought it all!

Jesus bought it all – our sins, dysfunctions, and failures.  Jesus made the ultimate investment, His life, not because He saw our potential (though He does, of course) but because His death and resurrection made it possible for every person to be reconciled (be put into right standing, viewed as righteous) with God!
